At this point you may be asking yourself, what the heck is that? A clue can be found in the tags.

There's no big story behind this one. A couple of months ago I rented a 100mm macro lens for a weekend. I found myself trying to shoot just about everything I saw. I've heard people say that when you start using a macro lens, you discover a whole new world of things to shoot. It really is true.

This is an alternate shot from my recent eye photos. This one was a goof-up, and it came out strangely disturbing.

This image is what I originally planned to do for our latest weekly photo assignment. Although I liked this image, I thought the other one better suited the topic.
