There was one group in this years SF Pride parade that had some really amazing outfits made of balloons. I haven't been able to find out who they were. If anyone knows... please leave the answer in the comments.

This is Harley. I met him at the San Francisco 2008 Gay Pride pre-party at the civic center yesterday.

I didn't learn a lot about Harley, but he did tell me he moved to San Francisco in 1946, he has a son, and he attended the first 22 Pride celebrations before he missed one.

Today was the 38th annual Gay Pride parade here in San Francisco. I went to both the parade and the pre-party that took place yesterday at the civic center. I have lots of photos to go through.

Location: Fort Funston, CA

I took our dog, Maggie Moo, out to Fort Funston today. Our visit was cut a bit short because the beach was covered with (dead) jellyfish. They were up and down the entire beach. In 4 years of going out there, I don't remember ever seeing this before. It's not uncommon to see one or two, but there must have been thousands out there today.

We ended up leaving because Maggie kept trying to eat them. Even if she hadn't, I was a little worried about letting her go in the water. I don't know if all jellyfish sting, but I do know that some are extremely poisonous. I thought better safe than sorry.

Unfortunately, the only camera I had with me was my iPhone. As lame as that camera is, I thought these came out kind of nice. I may go back tomorrow with a better camera, if I get a chance. I have some other photographing to do in the city tomorrow.

I made it out to the Haight Ashbury Street Fair for a few hours yesterday. It was incredibly crowded. So crowded that street photography was a little difficult (it was shoulder to shoulder). But, I did manage to get a few good images of one of the bands playing the fair. This is the base player for The Grannies.
