Weekly Photo Assignment #1 - ‘Yellow’
Just over a week ago I was listening to an episode of The Focus Ring photography podcast, and one of the photographers was talking about how he gives himself weekly photo assignments. He said it helped keep him motivated to shoot, and it also usually worked out better to have a planned theme, rather than just going out and shooting random stuff. I thought this sounded like a great idea, and instead of doing it all by myself, I decided to get a few friends involved. Tonight was the deadline for our first assignment. The theme was "Yellow". The way we're picking assignment themes is we all came up with five topics, and then we'll pick one at random each week. I'll be posting each week's images on Sunday nights.
Comments, critiques, and constructive criticism is welcome. Although this isn't meant to be a competition, feel free to mention which ones you like best. My personal vote would be for Stephanie's. I think it's awesome!

Can I suggest an assignment for next time? How about trying to see who can best capture motion.

Cool, thanks Karo. We already have an assignment for next week, but I'll keep "motion" in mind. Oh, and you'll have to tune in next Sunday night to see what the next topic is. :)
